A new study confirms that an old fashioned hammer is still the quickest remedy for defogging a car windshield.
Researchers at MIT conducted a series of tests in which engineering they smashed various foggy windshields across the city using various blunt objects. A hammer performed best, while a crowbar and tire iron were tied for second. The poorest performing object was a clenched fist which results in visits to the emergency room. The results have been published in the International Journal of Hooba Engineering Science and Technology.
